In this beautiful spring of 2011, KOCEF presents 50 pieces selected from the 2,389 pieces in the collection of KOCEF acquired over the last ten years.

This exhibition intends to present a full range of expressive preferences of contemporary ceramic artists by showing a wide variety of works from functional vessels to expressive pieces for artistic appreciation.

The exhibition is divided into three sections.
The first section features decorative vessels which are functional and yet of beautiful colors and painterly elements.
The second section presents works showing diverse attempts at expressiveness by disassembling and re-composing forms of vessels.
The third section introduces expressive ceramics which show the inner world of the artist.

Also, videos of an interview with a world respected ceramic artist and production by artists who are presented on this exhibition are shown to help visitors better understand the artists’ intentions and world views.
