The Special Exhibition of Selected Works from the Collection of KOCEF A Harmony of the Senses Ⅱ

• Venue : Exhibition rooms 1 and 2 on the 1st floor of the Gyeonggi Ceramic Museum

The special exhibition from the KOCEF collection entitled A Harmony of the Senses, which has been on display since last year, will be renewed with 30 new pieces. This special exhibition, which illustrates the values and infinite potential of ceramics in everyday life, showcases modern “containers” that have been collected since the International Competition at the Korean International Ceramic Biennale f in the 2010s, and the Beautiful Korean Ceramics Competition. There may be many different interpretations of the “containers.” The most typical is an object encompassing a space that can hold something within it. This exhibition presents containers that are familiar to us, and which thus can be deeply appreciated in our everyday lives, which especially reflect the artists’ explorations into the characteristics of the material, formality, expression, function, and tradition.
