Beauty in Everyday Life suggests how we can use ceramics in a residential space called ‘house.’. The exhibition space itself is furnished like a showroom filled with artistic sensibility of every day, and the exhibition shows many of the uses of ceramic vessels and the aesthetic values of ceramic objects in a modern, trendy living space.
People need more leisure time in their busy daily lives, so Beauty in Everyday Life focuses on the ‘outdoor garden table.’ Presented at the exhibition are dinnerware decorated with colorful paintings and vases that can be used as objects for interior decoration or tableware for enjoying dessert on a warm spring day in the garden. All of these pieces bring more artistic sensibility into everyday life.
In collaboration with La Forma Korea, launched in Korea in 2017 by a Spanish furniture brand, this exhibition presents ideal use of ceramics. The Korean ceramics shown are especially well-suited for Mediterranean European furniture. These ceramics, the space, and the food styling and tableware setting by food stylist Lee Seung-jin from The Table & Food Coordinate of Korea give you an uncommon experience of beauty in everyday living.
Most of the works on display are available for sale at Art Shop, Living Shop, Gallery Shop, and Brand Shop in Yeoju Dojasesang. Modern hand-painted ceramics by artist Shin Seung-hui add all the more to the beauty of this exhibition.
We hope that this exhibition encourages more people to bring greater artistic sensibility into their everyday living spaces with ceramics.
