The exhibition Playful Crafts features craftworks of ceramics, metal, and fabric as well as contemporary artworks. There is also a hands-on program for children to see, touch, and play with crafts. This exhibition has been arranged to show that crafts are a medium that can elicit children’s unlimited imagination. Crafts induce children to engage in creative activities that help them develop their muscles, imagination, and ability to concentrate. To be sure, crafts involve children in diverse activities that should help them grow with creative minds.

Ten works by three invitational artists and 42 works from the collection of KOCEF are presented at Playful Crafts. We can see crafts every day, which is why they feel so familiar. Crafts enrich our life experience and are a medium for development of children’s creativity. We expect that children will feel the power of crafts while they touch, feel, and play with imaginative craftworks at Playful Crafts.
