Seventy pieces of ceramics for everyday use selected from the collection of the Korea Ceramic Foundation are shown to allow viewers to compare pieces in each category.
This exhibition was arranged to provide an opportunity for the general public to experience the diverse world of functional ceramics so that they can acquire a new viewpoint about ceramic livingware.
The exhibition is divided into two sections: hand-made ceramics and industrial ceramics.
In the hand-made section are livingware made by potters and works by world-famous designers including Piet Stockmans and Ido Masanobu. Included in the industrial section are livingware by world famous companies such as Wedgewood and Richard Ginori and ceramic souvenirs produced by art museums and individual artists.
We expect that this exhibition will be an opportunity for the general public to rethink the concept of livingware and take greater interest in ceramics.
