The internationally acclaimed Janet Mansfield, former chairperson of IAC, passed way this February. Since 2001 for about 12 years ago, she contributed devotedly to the Gyeonggi International Ceramic Biennale as an international committee member, as a speaker for the international ceramic symposium, and as an artist.

She bridged the ceramics of both East and West remarkably while contributing to the international ceramics scene. For such reasons the GICB 2013 felt that it would be important to hold a small memorial on her behalf as she has been a dear friend to the Korea Ceramic Foundation.
