Kid’s Biennale :Incorporation of ceramic education and games. This is a playground where kids learn about the ceramics and cultivate their creative power through clay games.

  • Joy of Clay Class : Make you own artwork. Play with clay dough and strengthen your concentration, provide emotional stability and interact with your family members by realizing your thoughts and imagination with clay.
  • CeraMIX Creative Residency Studio : Observe and learn from the artists in residence, and experience different types of materials such as clay, glass, metal, etc.
  • Two-Day Overnight Ceramic Camp : Stay overnight and participate in diverse activities such as red-clay dying, wheel throwing, appreciating artworks in galleries and many other ceramic-related activities.

Gwangju Gonjiam Ceramic Park

  • Explorer Pottery and Ceramics : Using workbook, this is a session for primary school students. They will enjoy the ceramic artworks and learn about the ceramics in general, including the history, ceramic-making techniques and the material.
  • Make an Inlaid Picture Frame : Design a pattern on a clay slab by incising and filling the furrow with a different color of clay – this is sanggam or inlaid technique for decorating the ceramic walls.
  • Make Your Own Mug : Bring a photo or a drawing of a ceramic ware in the gallery and print it onto a mug to make it your own.
  • Science Museum “Ceramics + Science Experiment” : With a ceramic doll, participants can experiment and see how the air expands or decrease depending on the temperature, according to the so-called “Charles’ Law.”
  • Coloring Ceramic Figurines : Color in ceramic figurines with color pens and crayons.
  • Make Ceramic Wind Chimes : Make wind chimes like the ones depicted as a messenger of love in the Korean drama That Winter, The Wind Blows.
  • Make Juice with a Bicycle Generator : Blenders make fruit juice with the power generated from bicycle. Experience recycling energy and taste fresh juice.
  • Two-Day Overnight Academy : Visit galleries, plow farms, make ceramic objects, experience the Paleolithic life and many more exciting activities in an overnight program.
  • Make Dragons : Make picture frames in the shape of a dragon, color dragon figures, excavate dragon fossils, assemble dragon bones, make rubbings of dragon fossils and many more activities with dragon.
  • Silkworm Cocoon Crafts : Reel silk off cocoons and make fireflies with the empty colored cocoon.
  • Diverse Medium Arts : Take part and experiment different types of art. Be a hero an animation film or use sand to create sand art.
  • Make Fossils : Make fossils using natural objects such as leaves, sea shells, fish, etc.
  • Straw Crafts : Learn how to make things with straw and create for yourself a one-of-a-kind object

  • Imprinting Memories: make my own ceramic work
    Make an instant ceramic artwork with the photos taken in the Biennale sites or drawings by decaling.
