South and North Korean Ceramics as One, the thematic exhibition held in Gwangju, has been arranged to look at ceramic works by artists who experienced national division that are representative of the ceramics of the South and the North.
Through seventy works produced from the 1930s to 1980s, ceramists from the South and the North—Hwang In-chun, Yu Geun-hyeong, Ji Sun-taek, U Chi-seon, Im Sa-jun, and their children—this exhibition serves as an opportunity to look at how ceramics has developed in Korea since the division.
