It attracted 4,205 entries from 69 countries, a tremendous first success.
A total of 305 works surpassed fierce competition in the categories of ‘Ceramics for Use’ and ‘Ceramics as Expression’ and were exhibited at Icheon World Ceramic Center, attracting the attention of visitors from all over the world.
Works by 38 master ceramic artists from the US, Europe, Asia, Oceania, and Africa representing contemporary ceramic sculpture are presented at this exhibition.
The exhibition was intended to glimpse into the achievements of ceramic arts in the late 20th century and to speculate on the future direction of ceramic arts through restrospection.
